It's Snowing in the North Georgia Mountains!

Yay!  We wait for this all year long and here it is!!!  It started sleeting earlier today and then turned to snow as the night settled in.  Being born and raised in Vermont, this is the closest thing to a White Christmas I can hope for!  Let it snow . . . let it snow . . . let it snow!!!

Happy New Year from Pinnacle Cabin Rentals!

Yippee!! Snow Predicted this weekend for the North Georgia Mountains!

Forecasters are predicting snow and mixed precipitation for parts of North Georgia, with accumulations expected in the North Georgia Mountains!

The early season storm system is expected to spread a mix of light rain and snow across the Southeast Friday evening. The precipitation is expected to reach North Georgia after midnight. It is expected to begin as a light rain-snow mix, becoming all snow before sunrise Saturday morning.

Between one and two inches are expected in the higher elevations of the North Georgia Mountains. Snowfall is expected to end late Saturday morning across most of the area, but may linger in Northeast Georgia through the day on Saturday.

First Ever Winter Wine Highway - Dec 11-13

The Winegrowers Association of Georgia will hold its first Winter Wine Highway Weekend. This is a great time to visit the mountains and take a break from all the holiday hustle and bustle. Plan to spend a couple of days in the mountains with Pinnacle and check out some or all of the nine wineries participating in the event.

You can even purchase a "Passport" to wine tastings, and register for a drawing
for one of our many prizes. Collect an Ornament from each of the wineries as a souvenir.

For more info, check out the website for Winegrowers Association of Georgia at

Enjoy and drink responsibly!
